Andrew leads our Australian operations with a vision to firmly embed Blue Ocean Strategy® into Australian management practice and business culture.

With over 25 years experience as a business manager, consultant, key client account manager and business development and marketing manager, Andrew appreciates the challenges leaders face in growing organisations in dynamic environments and changing times.

Having lived and worked in most Australian capital cities and several regional areas as well as undertaken advisory work for businesses ranging from the ASX50 through to SMEs, start-ups and not-for-profits, in industries as diverse as professional services, FMCG, retail, manufacturing and all levels of government departments and agencies, Andrew brings an appreciation of issues from both a broad Australian and local market context.

Prior to joining us, Andrew was a Director at Deloitte in Australia and has also held various senior management, business development, marketing and consulting roles at BDO, Mellon and Mercer.

Andrew brings an energetic encouragement of creativity, exploration and inspiration, driven by rigorous technique, practice and peer review.

Phillip Ng

Head of Training and Advisory, Blue Ocean Strategy Australia

Phillip is a Certified BOS Practitioner and has completed the qualification process administered by the Blue Ocean Strategy® Initiative Center in the UK.

Phillip has been actively involved in working  with organisations to adopt Blue Ocean Strategy® in the manufacturing, distribution, information technology and financial services sectors.

Phillip has a strong 25 year background in sales, marketing, consulting and general management, predominantly within the highly competitive and fast-paced technology and telecommunications industries.

Commencing his career with IBM, Phillip worked with many of IBM’s global clients on the alignment of their business and technology strategies to drive revenue growth. Later, Phillip developed a successful record in international business development by taking on a general management and regional role for a Swedish software global enterprise, his brief to help them enter such diverse markets as India, China and South-East Asian countries.  His consulting experience on strategy was gained in working with senior management of channel partner organisations to drive their sales, marketing and service delivery effectiveness.

Phillip’s interest in the people aspects of organisational performance led him to join an in-country partnership with Wilson Learning, a world leader in human performance improvement.  He was also a member of the Asia Pacific Learning Services regional management team for IBM Global Services and consulted with clients to further deepen his appreciation of how strategy, technology and people development can be linked to drive profitable business outcomes.
